Before joining Notiora, Jim was founder and CEO of Change.com (acquired by Business.com). Other experience includes management positions with SAP, Pandesic (Intel/SAP joint venture) and NetBuy/Questlink Corporations (acquired by CMP Media).

These companies encompass solutions spanning B2B product search engines, first-generation e-business solutions, massive e-marketplaces and large-scale enterprise infrastructure.

Jim's roles have included CEO, founder, marketing, strategy and business development ownership. Jim currently serves as the Chairman of the Board. Jim's integrated marketing and business strategies have achieved significant recognition in business coverage, analysts' reports, awards and acquisitions. His speaking engagements include COMDEX, MIT / CalTech, Upside, Jupiter, EDS, GEIS, and CMP/CompTia events.


Dr. Bartell received his PhD from UC San Diego, where he created numerous core non-metric optimization algorithms and applied this neural network technology to search engines.

He is the co-inventor of a patented method for displaying document search results in a taxonomy. He has held positions as Chief Technology Officer for ContentScan Inc, and Vice President of Engineering for Change.com, both companies capitalizing on text analytic technology.

Dr. Bartell earlier held research positions in the Advanced Technology Group of Verity, Inc, a leading provider of text search engines, and in the Advanced Technology Group of Encyclopaedia Britannica, where he helped create the first Internet Encyclopedia, Britannica Online.


As a senior consultant at Arthur Andersen, LLP, Paul focused his efforts on solving information problems for such companies like Bank of America and Goldman Sacks.

Subsequently, as a consultant, Paul continued to leverage his skills in data analysis and information retrieval in the Internet space with companies like eGreetings and Inktomi.

Prior to founding Notiora, Paul was engaged as a Senior Architect at Change.com, where he specialized in performance optimization and developing a multi-dimensional product search engine.

Paul Iter is a graduate of New York University, Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, with specialization in Computer Science.


Prior to founding Notiora, Sari founded, ran and sold GoMo Technologies, a rich-media e-mail marketing company. Prior to GoMo, Sari was an Executive Producer at Disney Online, and a Producer at Knowledge Adventure. Sari has also functioned as a strategist and consultant for companies and institutional investors including Ask Jeeves and Michael Milken's Knowledge Universe.

Sari has a B.A. from U.C Berkeley, and an M.A. in Instructional Technology from Columbia University.
