Universal Search
  • Universal Query
Every search engine has its own unique, often peculiar, method of searching. Some engines support Boolean queries, some engines support phrases, some wildcards, some weighting. And all have a unique set of field names. For, example, searching even a common field like 'title' requires use of [ti] in Pubmed, intitle: for Google, /TTL for PatFT patents, and NIH Crisp grants uses a field in a web form! Notiora provides a set of query adapters, so your users can use their favorite query form, and it will be translated to the correct target form.

  • Remote Search Adapters
Notiora provides a suite of adapters for searching 3rd party databases, returning the search results in a common structure to be processed by a host application. The suite is easily extendible, and supports engines including: Google™, Pubmed™, NIH Crisp™ Awarded Grants, and PatFT™ US Patent search. Add your own additional remote adapters, or have Notiora Services write them for you.
